Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire Finally Sang Together — And They Chose One of Reba’s Most Dramatic Hits

A duet that took decades to happen

It seems almost impossible that Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire had never officially recorded a duet together.

Both had spent decades at the center of country music, crossing paths countless times but never sharing a studio recording.

That finally changed in 2021.

For Reba's Revived Remixed Revisited project, the two recorded a new version of “Does He Love You,” Reba's 1993 hit originally recorded with Linda Davis.

Dolly was Reba's dream choice

When Reba decided to revisit the song, Dolly was the singer she wanted.

Parton later confirmed that she had always wanted to sing with Reba and said the two sounded great together.

But this wasn't simply a repeat of the original.

The song is about two women discovering they are in love with the same man.
