Ella Langley Sent Morgan Wallen a Song She Had Written — Then “I Can’t Love You Anymore” Became Their New Duet

It started with a song Ella wrote

Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen had already shared stages before they officially recorded together.

But their first released duet, “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” came from a song Langley had written herself.

She sent it to Wallen, and according to him, the song immediately caught his attention. He said the opening riff made it difficult to resist and that he was honored Langley wanted him to sing it with her.

Then they surprised the crowd

Before the official release, the two singers performed the song together for the first time at Wallen's concert in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on April 18, 2026.

Langley walked onto the stage in her home state, and the audience heard the new song for the first time.

Just days later, “I Can't Love You Anymore” was officially released on April 24.

A song about love reaching its limit

The duet tells the story of two people caught in the aftermath of a breakup.
